A Katakuchi, Lipped Bowl in Japanese, made with coarse stoneware clay, hand-thrown and turned. Dynamic brush mark inside with white clay slip then dipped in wood ash glaze. Robust, unique, and full of character.

All our pots are made with stoneware clay, some with high iron content, and are fired at very high temperatures, 1260 - 1300 degrees, with mild to heavy reduction.  These pots are dishwasher safe, although washing by hand is the best option.
